چکیده
In the Chinese linguistic tradition, term ‘structural particle(s)’ ( jiégòu zhùcí 结构助词) is used to refer functional elements that mainly act as markers of adnominal modification, nominalisation, adverbial modification and in so-called verb complement constructions. Standard Mandarin, three commonly structural particles are all realised /tə/, but they written with different characters (的, 地 得), which somehow reflect their distinct origins. However, same functions mapped onto other Sinitic languages, each listed above may be associated more than one construction. this paper, we provide an overview range variation domain Sinitic, based on analysis a convenience sample 77 dialects. We highlight some areal genealogical trends distribution these forms, discuss hypotheses origins evolution: specifically, focus modification. argue sometimes arise from sources undergo formal merger, due analogy and/or phonetic similarity.

Sociolinguistic Typology and Sign Languages
This paper examines the possible relationship between proposed social determinants of morphological 'complexity' and how this contributes to linguistic diversity, specifically via the typological nature of the sign languages of deaf communities. We sketch how the notion of morphological complexity, as defined by Trudgill (2011), applies to sign languages. Using these criteria, sign languages ap...
متن کاملLow Vowel Raising in Sinitic Languages: Assimilation, Reduction, or Both?

Specifically, my survey reveals that vowel d...
